Ryan, Good to see more documentation for Pedestal! I have a bit of feedback. Maybe it's just me being really dumb but I was confused about where to find the actual tutorial. At some point I thought I need to run the two apps to see any content. It turned out to be in the wiki: https://github.com/pedestal/app-tutorial/wiki but I may be a good idea to make that a bit more obvious in the README at the top. The announcement could have linked to the wiki page as well.
