There is this list of Clojure user groups: http://dev.clojure.org/display/community/Clojure+User+Groups
You can go to meetup.com and search for Clojure. There are several meetings per month in the Bay area, in San Francisco and San Mateo, usually. There is also the #clojure IRC channel, which is a bit more interactive than a typical mailing list.
