Thanks for your response.

I am been following the API documentation:
https://code.google.com/p/json-path/ and the tests
https://github.com/jayway/JsonPath/blob/master/json-path/src/test/java/com/jayway/jsonpath/JsonPathTest.java

But looking at the source their only seems to be a static read method with
a third argument as a filter!
