Roelof, I wanted to learn Lisp for a loooong time (maybe even 10 year +) tried common Lips once or twice, but failed miserably. But it was Clojure that really got me going. Watch the various video's that Rich Hickey did that are on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/user/ClojureTV) if you don't want to spend any money (yet)
