Grimoire, http://conj.io, hosts documentation of Clojure and other libraries indexed for quick reference by myself and Andy F.

This release brings the addition of a JSON/EDN API, http://conj.io/api, the addition of documentation for 1.7 and huge internal refactor to make Grimoire more stable, flexible and portable.

Grimoire 0.4 comes with a new leiningen plugin, https://github.com/clojure-grimoire/lein-grim which can generate Grimoire documentation data from artifacts on the class path. Generating documentation from a source tree is also supported, but a bug in leiningen currently prevents it from functioning.

As of 0.4, documentation is no longer tracked as part of the Grimoire repository itself, and Grimoire is able to host documentation for arbitrary artifacts. It is my intent to add documentation for core.type, core.logic, core.match and core.async to Grimoire in the coming weeks. If you have a library you would like to host documentation and examples for on Grimoire, I would be happy to do so.

Pending more work on the lib-grimoire, the back end shared by lein-grim and Grimoire, editing of examples and notes via Grimoire is disabled. PRs to the various documentation and notes repositories will of course be considered, and this functionality will soon be restored.

Grimoire is included in CIDER thanks to bbatsov, accessible via (kbd "C-c C-d g"). Light Table support exists thanks to cldwalker via his Sancho plugin.

If Grimoire is something that you find find useful, I would ask that you help fund the project (https://gratipay.com/arrdem/).

Thanks to Robert Stuttaford, Bozhidar Batsov and Andy Fingerhut for their help in making Grimoire what it is today.

Enjoy!
Reid
