If your goal is to learn Clojure, I would recommend not learning Emacs Lisp at the same time, just to avoid confusion that may arise in your mind due to the differences between the two.
You can use Emacs without learning Emacs Lisp with no problem. I've used Emacs for 20 years, and only know a little tiny bit of Emacs Lisp.
