It's because there is a command /opt/drbl/sbin/create-cciss-mapping will be run in Clonezilla to create a mapping device name. For Broadcom BCM5708 NIC, maybe a newer module is required. Did you try clonezilla live 20090812-jaunty ? Maybe it supports your NIC.
