Thanks for this information, and for updating the page.

I see these test images are in the us-east-1 availability zone. When you say 
EBS-backed images will be available soon, are you talking about all 
availability zones or only us-east-1?

I ask this because I'm waiting for images in the eu-west-1 availability zone 
for my server.
