Hi all Sorry, I've been meaning to post this list here since getting back from LV. This was a set of feature requests that we worked up in the session I did at collab. Some of these are very specific features, whereas some are more general. We did a very unscientific poll of hands in the room to judge the overall support for each feature: that gives us the % figure for each one.
RBAC (similar to openstack) 75% More friendly log messages 75% monitoring access to internal process (duration running, progress monitors) 75% Multiple IPs/NICs on each VM on same network 75% column sorting 75% improved search function 75% Admin UI more 'enterprise' like or 'expert view' 75% documented version support lifetime 50% More meaningful pop-up messages 50% Advanced IP address management 50% Password reset (UI) 50% UI Avoid sets shown and why 50% some more features in api included in gui 50% UI Plugins 36% Multiple volume templates 33% Dynamic IP/NIC adding & removing 33% IPv6 33% Multiple volume snapshots 32.50% Plugin 'folder' 30% Advanced networking ACLs 25% Application containers 25% Two factor authentication & 3rd party ie radius 25% Additional System VMS for other network features 25% Easy bug reporting feature 20% Guest agent tools 10% AD Integration 10% Email nofitication inteligence 10% UI Multi-VM selection 10% Read-only api access 10% Nat support for system VMs 5% documented use-case configuration examples UIDs exposed in UI different admin and user UI styles + Kind Regards Giles Giles Sirett Managing Consultant D: +44 20 3603 0541 | S: +44 20 3603 0540 | M: +44 796 111 2055 giles.sir...@shapeblue.com | www.shapeblue.com | Twitter:@shapeBlue ShapeBlue Ltd, 53 Chandos Place, Covent Garden, London, WC2N 4HS Find out about our free webinars on Citrix Cloud Technologies ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Kelcey Damage (BBITS) <kel...@bbits.ca> Date: Mon, Dec 10, 2012 at 6:34 PM Subject: RE: feature wish-list To: cloudstack-dev@incubator.apache.org I have not heard back on that, its sitting in the UK right now :) So we can merge the two when it becomes available. -kd -----Original Message----- From: Chiradeep Vittal [mailto:chiradeep.vit...@citrix.com] Sent: Monday, December 10, 2012 3:27 PM To: CloudStack DeveloperList Subject: Re: feature wish-list There was a spreadsheet gathered at the 'Coalface' session at CCC as well.
