kieppie commented on CLOUDSTACK-411:
------------------------------------

I got tripped up pretty badly with this & look a long time & a *lot* of long
hours to track this issue down - was not a trivial matter; risked breaking or
misconfiging other subsystems in an effort to resolve this issue: *literally 1
character* in the qemu.conf file

I went through the install process for KVM on Ubuntu for the v.4 stable
*official* docco's & nowhere was there even any hint that this had to be done.
Very obvious with 20/20 hindsight, but not so much at 2am & a number of
rebuilds later.

This is a pretty darn significant oversight, IMHO

> Ref: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-410. For 4.0 release,
> we can document it in the installation guide for kvm agent installation on
> ubuntu machine, with the following command:
> uncomment out "# vnc_listen = "0.0.0.0"" in /etc/libvirt/qemu.conf
