HI, I know my question has been asked many times in the past, but I need a refresher since I am going to have to apply it soon. We are transferring stock to a departing member. Our PA and OP do NOT specify when to value the stock for the transfer. If my memory serves me correctly, some people say to value the stock on the same day as the member's valuation. Is there a rule to follow if not specified in the PA or OP? By the time the actual transfer takes place, 10-14 days will have passed from the valuation date. If you don't use the valuation date from the member's valuation, how does one determine what the price will be by the time the broker actually receives the letter specifying what to do and makes the transfer?
