Other things you can try. If you can't uninstall the Yahoo toolbar, you might be able to turn it off. Click on View, Toolbars, and uncheck the Yahoo toolbar. Another suggestion, check your Home page setting - Tools, Internet Options, and in the Home Page box it's the address line. If you're not sure what to set it to, try "about:blank". This will start Internet Explorer with a blank window. You can update it again later. One more suggestion - don't ever go back to the place that wants to reformat your hard disk for no reason, unless you love losing everything for that same reason.
