With all this talk of MSN and ICQ under Linux it reminded me of a problem
that I am having.
I'm behind router(s) that I have no control over. I blieve the standard
ports for ICQ and MSN are being blocked. In Windows it isn't a problem
because I think these two applications are using port 80 in conjunction
probably with some proxy servers that MSN and ICQ have. The Linux clones
for MSN and ICQ don't appear to be far enough along yet to use these. Am I
wrong here? Or is there a way to accomplish the same thing under Linux?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. :-)
Brian H.
