I would say have look at the Vector Linux as well. Though admittedly not
much of a Redhat fan (at least the newer versions), I'd consider looking
at the RULE project.

Among other things, it offeres a stripped version of the anaconda
installer (miniconda) which is developed specifically for low-spec
machines.
