Hi Folks, Looks like things will be a little loose and fun here with respect to our October multi-topic meeting.
I'm just contacting the possible speakers right now and trying to firm things up. At present we have as many as 5 topics and as few as 1-2. So I'm still looking for anyone who may be interested in presenting something to the group. It can be something as simple as a command overview. I'm a big believer in impressions and challenges encountered by folks new to the OS If you're feeling a little non-commital and just thinking about being a back-up that's cool, feel free to contact me off list. Some light and fun topics of interest could be. - burning CD's with K3b and exploring some of it's features - making mp3s with GRIP - FlightGear - setup and options - intro to Scribus others include: - back-up tools (pro's and cons) - CRON, AT, ANACRON - text processing tools like grep Hope to hear from you.
