Hi folks,

I case anyone is wondering about what happened to the Mini-presentations,
Mike from Novell agreed to speak before our last meeting and this spot
worked quite well.

For those of you unfamiliar with Novell and where it appears to be heading,
Novell recently bought Ximian. Prior to the purchase, Ximian's (of
Ximian/Gnome Desktop fame http://www.ximian.com/) projects included the
Evolution e-mail client, A back-end utility that let's people access an
MS-Exchange server with Evolution, ::mono (a .Net implementation for Linux)
and the Red Carpet updater.

It should be an quite an interesting presentation from the standpoint of
where Novell will taking this and how they will be contributing to FOSS and
Linux.

We will be continuing with the mini-presentation format for subsequent
meetings, as there seemed to be a strong consensus to continue with it.
Thanks again to last months speakers (Szemir, Peter and Dave) you guys were
great.

I guess I'll also start now, if anyone is interested in presenting a
mini-topic for the _December_ meeting, please let me know.

See you next Wednesday.

Marcel
