I never considered that angle, but (again) it fits.

...It would certainly go some ways toward explaining why SCO's lawyers
haven't jumped ship yet, as they get the biggest payoff _if_ SCO gets
bought out (i.e. knowing that there _will_ be a buyer would certainly
put them at ease while they keep flogging this dead horse).
