Hi all,
I (finally) got SuSE installed and working after several tries with dying (and dead) disks and now I have to do a little data rescue mission. I'm pretty sure the drive I have to rescue stuff from is still alive but what I'm wondering about is the thoughtful prompt I got when I plugged the drive in alongside the SuSE disk. I'm asked whether or not I'd like to configure the drive, but what exactly does "configuring" entail? Is that yet another synonym for "erase" or something else altogether? If it helps any, the foreign disk is probably FAT32, as it was last used with a nastier-than-usual version of windoze ("Me") and the MBR has been wiped already.

Thanks.
Katrina
