Hi:

I proposed Saturdays because that is (probably) the only day I can book a training room here.
If somebody has a meeting place/computer(s)/projector available in the evening, please let us know.

Also people loose interest after a while, I have organized/helped out a couple SIGs (Java&Linux)
now and had better results with 5x8hours then 10x4hours.
In case of 10x4 at a rate of 1 evening a week you are busy for at least 2.5 months...

If time permits we can check interest/discuss/vote all this at the meeting next Wednesday.

Regards

Peter

I am in the same boat as Curtis. A full Saturday or Sundat may not be the
most expediant. Maybe it would be better to get people who are interested
first and then put it up for discussion.

I'm interested, but unfortunately my Saturdays are already committed. If it were a full day on Sundays, I could be available. Better yet, a couple of evenings a week would work for me (Tuesday and Thursday/Friday).

I expect that people's schedules are as varied as they are, so general
consensus may exclude me. If so, that's fine.

Hi Gang :

Who wants to commit to a serie of 5 x 7-8 hours (on Saturdays) of
presentations/study on the basics of Linux ?
Goal : preparing in group for LPI 101.

As posted before, each member of the group has to pick 1, 2 or

3 topics to

present.
So a lot of prep work upfront is required. (material enough on the
internet, but you also need to 'understand' what you have to explain)

I probably can arrange meeting place (kind of classroom

downtown) at least

1 computer with Linux, overhead projector and internet connection.

I would like to limit the number of people to a max of 8 (first

come first

serve)

Comments suggestions welcome

Peter
