I am not sure why I didn't adda note that the Linux shootout was a Lindows/Linspire based promotion. I totally blanked on that - sorry folks. I personally use Mdk 9.2 right now and plan to move on to 10.x when the Win4Lin folks get a kernel that works with it up and running. I also want to ensure that the nVidia driver cooperates with 10.x before I move up (it may now, but I haven't looked yet). The LiveCD version of Linspire would be great, because (if their ads are correct), Linspire *appears* to be more laptop friendly than Mdk is. I wouldn't mind trying Linspire out, but cannot afford to fiddle with my laptop on a whim - it is my main workhorse and Mdk 9.2 is working quite well on it. -- Jason Hayes - Principal Hayes Holdings Consulting [EMAIL PROTECTED] / www.hayz.ws Suite #1936 - 246 Stewart Green SW Calgary, AB, Canada T3H 3C8 Ph/FAX: 403.238.6779 _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca
