I took a quick look at the url you provided earlier, have you tried
checking the cert ?
Also when you did the update are you sure you had set "USE="maildir ssl
imap mysql" ?

This is after enabling the recordio option so I could see the full smtp
conversation. Notice the third last line - exit with status 256. The only
tip I've been able to find on this indicates that the process could not
complete properly.....
