Hello Michael Gale, I just use the print icon in Thunderbird when I get oversized printing.
My brother Mel just set up cups to print for me last night. If I print a plain text document using either the lp command or the enscript command, it prints out just fine. I tried for over a month to configure my printer for cups, but it took only an hour and a half for my brother to configure cups printer. And I was able to print out text files in the manor above mentioned. I was also able to successfully print out the first page of an open office writer document, but when I tried to print pages 2 and 3 open office froze. I then shut my computer down and restarted and tried to open my modified open office document. I got the following error message: An unrecoverable error has occurred. All modified files have been saved and can probably be recovered at program restart. I then tried to open an open office spread sheet and open office froze again. But other than that my printing and my computer work just fine. Regards, Michael Walters Michael Gale wrote: > Hello, > > What type of printing method are you using ?
