Hi all, Thanx Rob for stepping up while I was snoozing.
Native Linux Games that I was planning on running this weekend are: Enemy Terratory True Combat Elite Q3 and related mods UT 2004 and related mods I can do Doom3 and Quake4 should folks care to play them. My personal preference is TC-Elite (True Combat Elite) which is similar to Counterstrike and is a FREE mod of FREE ET (Enemy Terratory) = NO LICENCE ISSUES! Ideally your system will have a supported 3D card (Nvidia or ATI) A few free gigs of disk. etc.. I have a couple of extra monitors of how do we say, "questionable character" All the networking and power requirements are onsite. It is a good idea to have headphones. A dozen or more speakers systems can get really ugly in a hurry. All the filez for TC-Elite and ET, I host locally. And finally, you are not expected to know how to setup. Full support will be provided, its part of the fun. We can do a full Linux install if need be as well as setup the 3D and games. Bare in mind if I have to work that hard you gotta buy the coffee ;) Setup usually begins in the afternoon (anytime after 1 PM) We shutdown when you collapse and turn into a steaming pile of gibs! If there is any interest in doing open workshops on any subjects of common interest we'll do that to. The prime interest is fun and maybe even stickin it to the man (whatever that means)! DVD ripping howto anyone? Whatever? All the best, Dan _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
