Hi Robin,

Thanks for the suggestion, Moneydance looks like it has some great
features, but I think I am starting to steer more towards GNUCash:
* It free
* Cross-platform (GTK based if I am not mistaken)
* More inline with proper double-entry bookkeeping
* I am working on a theory here, but because it appears to be GTK based,
I may theoretically be able to run it from a USB key like I do with
other GTK apps (i.e. Pidgin). How cool would that be having your
acocutant in your pocket! I haven't tested this yet, but looks like it
would be possible.

Because I am looking at using a variety of machines (Win, Lin, Mac,
3E-PC, laptop) portability is important to me. Once I get the stuff on
the LAN working the way I like it (syncing profile information), I can
then move out from there.

I owuld just to be sitting in a Timmies somewhere with my box of recipts
and be able to enter them in then head home and sync teh file to the
network and open the new file up on the desktop. Sames goes with the
3E...be out travelling and entering recipts as I get them then sync up
when I get home or VPNing home.

Thanks again for the suggestion.

Cameron
