Hi all,
I was running the latest version of crunchbang, which is based on debian wheezy and crunchbang waldorf. I had some problems getting virtualbox going and was thinking of going to debian stable until I realized it was going to make my commonly used programs too out dated. So I had another look for the solution, and this one just worked as i followed the steps here. The URL: http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=80468 summary: apt-get --reinstall install virtualbox virtualbox-dkms is replaced with: apt-get --reinstall install virtualbox-4.1 Guest Additions were there too. Since it uses apt-get install dkms, I wonder if virtualbox-4.2 could also have worked? Mel PS Not the first time I successfully installed virtualbox. But there are too many how to's that do not seem to work out there. ALSO, if you are not using crunchbang, you probably need some distribution to tame Wheezy (testing) or you could run into problems. Yet you could run into problems any way. Your Mileage May Vary. Hope this helps. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
