Hi all,
I finally pushed a bunch of work from Collabora and myself to master
(therefore branching the brand new ClutterGst 2.0 to its own branch).
This work also relies on stuff in Cogl to support GStreamer integration
directly with Cogl [3][4].
This is pretty much what I wanted to change in ClutterGst to enable
developers to implement cool effects on their videos [1][2].
It definitely enabled me to implement stuff I wanted to do for a while
(like video mosaic).
There is still a lot of stuff to cleanup :
1) Even though examples are functionals, most test are probably broken
2) Documentation is not updated
3) Some request feature like having a black material by default is
not completely guaranteed
4) Maybe some of the class names do not make sense
I'm going to work at fixing the 3 first items. I would really appreciate
if people could have a look at the API and give some feedback.
To get a feeling of what's possible there are a few Javascript examples,
all of them are under 200 lines of code, so pretty easy to
understand/modify.
