Have you looked into https://github.com/Kitware/CMake/blob/master/Modules/CMakeDetermineCSharpCompiler.cmake ?
Send steps to reproduce the problem you're seeing... Maybe somebody else here has encountered the same thing and worked through it already. HTH, David C.
