Hi, I am wondering why pdb file are not installed with a library target in MS
VS2017 generated projects when building the Debug config variant?

Is this relay necessary:

install(FILES $<TARGET_PDB_FILE:${TARGET_NAME}> DESTINATION bin OPTIONAL)
see too

Why ist that install command not enough:

install(TARGETS example
    EXPORT ExampleTargets
    RUNTIME DESTINATION ${CMAKE_INSTALL_BINDIR}
    LIBRARY DESTINATION ${CMAKE_INSTALL_LIBDIR}
    ARCHIVE DESTINATION ${CMAKE_INSTALL_LIBDIR}
)
