The magic spell for TravisCI is:

addons:
  apt:
    sources:
      - sourceline: 'deb https://apt.kitware.com/ubuntu/ xenial main'
        key_url: 'https://apt.kitware.com/keys/kitware-archive-2019.asc'
    packages:
      - cmake

Or "trusty" if you still use the default distro.
