There is no globbing here. The clean code is a CMake script, not a shell script. The make clean step is meant to clean files specifically created by the build or specified explicitly by CMakeLists.txt file code. When doing out-of-source builds (which are strongly suggested) having a clean step that removes editor cruft from the source tree does not make sense anyway.
