This has been true for a long time.  Bug #3580 claims this was fixed,
but I don't recall it ever working for Chicken.  I haven't reported it
as it's at the Annoyance level of bug.  Guess I should have though.

Is Chicken uniquely troubled?  Is it doing something that other builds
don't?  Or do other people's builds also show too much progress?
