What I meant is this to output a string from your batch script:

SETLOCAL
SET PATH=...;%PATH%
execute_something.exe
IF %ERRORLEVEL% neq 0 ( 
  ECHO "FAILED"
) ELSE (
  ECHO "SUCCESS"
)
ENDLOCAL
