All members of the nursing leadership team at our facility wear street clothes with
lab coats, mostly "office casual." Other staff wear white pants; licensed staff wear
lavender or lavender print scrub tops and CNAs wear sage green or green print scrub
tops.
As for coding mechanical lifts: if we use a Hoyer or Partner lift we code 4/3 as
facility policy requires 2 staff when using one of those lifts. If a SARA lift is
used, the code is 3/2 or 3, depending on how many staff participate. The rationale is
that the resident bears some of their own weight with a SARA.
