We have even used organizations that provide “traveling” therapists.  For us it was worth the cost of the traveling physical therapist vs losing all that reimbursement.

Can your hospital hire a per diem OT?  Most facilities do need to work with per diem staff just like nursing need agency help.

I have a question about therapies we have had all three disciplines on board but we are losing our OT does any one have pointers on maintaining a good RUG level and not working our PT to death. Has anyone been dealing with this related short staff? Thanks for any input on this subject. P.S. hospital based skilled unit therapies 5 days a week.
