Unless we attached a quarterly to the 5 day MDS we would resume previous quarterly schedule. At this facility we update IDCP and have care conference with each OBRA MDS and we would not have done that with a 5 day.

Intermediate resident went out for emergency sx to correct a strangulated hernia, and he was d/c with return anticipated; he was skilled for IV meds when he returned, so we did a Medicare 5 day assessment. Then the IV meds were actually d/c on day 6 he does not seem to have any other changes that would make a sig change necessary, do we put him back on a quarterly schedule from the ARD of the 5 day, or back on his previous quarterly schedule (I'm pretty sure I don't do this). Thanks.
