If it does not have the appearance of a broken blister I would code it
as a 1. Sometimes when looking closely or palpating I can detect a loose
skin covering that indicates it may have originally by a fluid filled
blister, then I code it as a 2

Subject: coding heels that are purple in color

I have a patient with heels that are purple and tender to touch - they
are
from pressure as she was in ICU for several days on her back - would
they be
a stage one?
Thanks
