I would love to see that Bill! It would be great for my users, who are often new to Scheme. :)
I think this works now, at least for the simplest use (top-level, not reverted etc). Not too bad -- ca 500 lines, and I didn't have to use xxd and arrays of ints -- why did I think that strings (of chars) only worked in C++?
