Hi Trish, I am one of those whose wbs's crashed during the first months of Gleevec therapy. I was diagnosed 8/13/03 and had to go off Gleevec 3 times because of wbc's and platelets. At the year mark last month, my tests at MDACC showed that I was in CCR so it isn't always the case that people who's counts crash are non-responsive to Gleevec. I still take Neulasta shots every other week for my WBC but my platelets have been holding around 80 for about the last 4 months. I know several others on the list have had the same problem and they too have showed response to Gleevec. Don't give up the ship yet! God's Blessings, Love & Hugs,
