Hi,

I am a new member to the group. My wife was diagnosed with CML last
April during routine blood work after becoming pregnant for the first
time in her life at age 35. Her WBC at that time was 36K. Last week,
the 28th week of pregnancy, she started pheresis because her WBC
increased to 93K. She has had 3 treatments during the last week.
Her WBC decreased to 79K after the first treatment, but much to our
disappointment increased to 86K after the second treatment. We won't
know until tomorrow what her WBC will be as a result of her last
treatment. Two additional treatments have already been scheduled.
One tomorrow, Wednesday, the other for Friday.

After the baby is born, my wife will be treated with Gleevec.

Is there anyone else out there has undergone pheresis treatments, to
reduce WBC, who might be able to share some information with us as to
what type of results we might expect from continued pheresis?

Thank you in advance,
