I was on 60,000 units of procrit until recently, and it was $35.00
for a 3 months supply. That was for the vials only...I use leftover
syringes and needles from my interferon days....

When I had my first injection of procrit at my Onc's office it was
over $170 for the injection..I thought that was outrageous, so then
went to the mail order and self injection. I pay a set fee for the
mail order drugs ($35.00) but then a percentage of the drugs when I
buy them in person at a pharmancy. I honestly have never kept up
with the percentages of hospital surgical procedures, etc..I just
know that my co pays have always been very reasonable....also,
you're right about the pre existing conditions...I think with
Federal plans they can't turn you down for a pre existing condition
if you want to switch plans.

You might want to contact an insurance rep..they are always willing
to talk with people during the open season..ask them all kinds of
questions..then you'll be getting it from the horses mouth and have
all your questions answered.
