Hi Debra -
As a 2-timer myself (cancer survivor, that is;) I can relate to your
fear. I also can relate to the GI issues, as I've had blood in the
stool on and off the whole time on Gleevec. I had a colonoscopy 2
years ago and all they found were internal hemmorhoids. The
colonoscopy is incredibly easy once you get past drinking the
nauseating 'drano' to clear you out. I went through the exact same
fear and disbelief - could I really be struck with cancer three
times?? Unfortunately, anything is possible. In my case, I got to
breathe a big sigh of relief after the procedure. I hope the same
happens for you!
For me, I am going to keep following up with the Gastroenterologist
every couple of years. (Thanks for the reminder!) Good luck, sending
prayers your way.
