Dear Jeannie, My enzymes hit 1200 so I have been having mine
checked every week. I think every 3 months is the norm. I didn't receive the
norm at my original hematologist. I had a feeling something wasn't right and had
my family doctor check and he was hot!! The hematologist just couldn't believe
it was the Gleevec and asked if I was Irish or if I had a dog. I told him I had
an Irish Setter and "See ya baby"! Now this was the premier hemat in our area!!!
My liver was not damaged but I am on and off prednisone so I can remain on IM.

Thanks I guess the Drs. think we should know all
they are doing.
There are many different kinds of blood test and
it requires several vials to get them all done.
If they just do one vial; they are probably only
checking cbc.
I just had a cbc done by my primary care DR and
I ask him what my cholesterol was and he said you didn't ask me check that,
which I didn't.
Live and learn and well, it's probably time to
ask for another liver test. How often should we have these
done?
