Lynn & Tracey,
I usually buy my WinterSilks on-line at www.wintersilks.com, depending on what you buy they run about $25.00 US per piece. They are made with 100% silk Filament. The idea behind the concept is that they not only keep you nice and warm but they also keep you dry. Tracey, thanks for the tip about buying this at WalMart. I usually avoid "WallyWorld" like the plaque because there are always so many people there and it is a real zoo. But I made the trek there today and have purchased a pair of "BestForm Warmwear". I think this is what you were talking about. They are made of 86% microdenier polyester and 14% spandex. They offer stretchability and both fabrics usually are very good at wicking, so if you are skiing or doing something outside that might work up a sweat, this should also work. So, I'll try them out this week and let you all know, but I have a feeling that they are a good alternative. They were $12.96 Cdn a piece.
