I also experience cramps. The same as you - when stretching - I get
cramps in my calf. I get out of bed and press down on my foot and the
cramps go away. It is especially annoying when the cramp settles in my
thigh or foot.

This is in reference to 91166 or Dianne's posting. I
was on 800mg of
gleevec at the time, now down to 600, when I was
experiencing
numbness in my feet ( also very sore big toe -gout?)and a lot
of
cramping. I would get severe cramps that would bring me right out of
bed ( always at night, especially when I stretched). The numbness is
pretty well gone now. The cramps (my hands claw, too) are still with
me from time to time. My onc told me to use calcium - magnesium
1500/500 for the cramps. I can usualy work out the leg and foot
cramps
by rubbing aspercreme into the affected limb.I also eat one
or two bananas
a day (for potassium). Nick
