Hi Richard, Interesting questions. I have always been a bit colder than most, but on Gleevec it is absolutely ridiculous. I nodded my head to every single email out there on this topic. (I am chattering as I write this.) On weight: I had slight weight gain (10 lbs.) the first couple of years on Gleevec that I have since taken off. So no real weight gain. On thyroid: I have had hypothyroidism for 10 years (since radiation treatment for Hodgkins) and my levels have remained stable on Gleevec. I have been on .112mg Synthroid with no adjustment since being on Gleevec. (Interestingly enough, in past years the thyroid dosage has needed to go up and down a bit but not since on IM.) Its a mystery! If I didn't think it would scare my 3 year old, I'd consider putting on a wool ski mask on in the house, to add to my 4 layers including winter silks.
