When I first started Gleevec back in Feb. 2004......after about one month I had to stop for a week or so (can't remember how long she wanted me off, but wasn't too long) because of low counts. That was the only time I was off since the beginning. But, there are some here in the support group who've had to have transfusions because of low counts. So, it isn't unusual.
