I'm glad the bill passed. I was worried about the lifetime cap that my ins. policy has. I'm already past $500,000. Now that won't be such a worry. I don't understand everything about the bill, however. I am too young for Medicare and am fortunate to have a good insurance policy from my employer, which also covers prescriptions. Right now, I'm on Nilotinib, which is about $22,000 every three months. I have a copay of $50. In a few years, Medicare becomes my primary and my ins. policy becomes my secondary. That's where my uncertainty lies. Will Medicare cover my high prescription costs? If not, can my secondary ins. pick up the difference? Will this new bill help those of us who have extremely high cost medications. Hope I'm still alive to deal with all these issues! lol! Thanks for answers from anyone who understands these bills and programs better than I do. Nancy in NY
