Just last visit with my onc specialist named Jessica Altman who is on staff a Northwestern Univ. of Chicago, she clearly told me that CML patients should NOT have the live virus for shingles. Thank you for all the articles which basically substantiate this claim. My doc (and Greenie's) is highly respected at Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida. Since I do have a healthy immune system and am in remission, I would be a possible contender to receive it according to your articles below. But I am not in favor of most vaccines, so will definitely go by my own doc's suggestion. This is just my take on the situation, and I know many may disagree.
