Hm, I see that you want me to do profiling and to find out where the speed
improvement really comes from:-) Maybe next week, I have to leave now to
take care of my children.

I do not understand this last paragraph.  The CMUCL which I got from
Debian/unstable is without Gerd's PCL, so there is a large difference, no?
