It's all virtual memory; I'm sure the intent of what I wrote was
perfectly clear.
It still has over a gigabyte of unused private anonymous mappings. Is
there any reason for mapping this much? It's really quite unfriendly
to allocate this much, especially when it's mostly untouched, and I
have good reasons for having the AS rlimit set lower than this. Is
there any way to reduce its use to something sensible (10 MiB for
example)?
Perhaps cmucl could check if there are any resource limits on startup
(with getrlimit), and modify its behaviour accordingly?
